Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) night shift position requiring cardiac telemetry experience and a NC or compact RN license.

Details

• Hospital-based Progressive Care Unit (PCU) setting
• High-level, high-functioning unit with multiple long-term patients
• Patient ratio of 1:5
• Night shift, 3x12 hours, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Weekend rotation required
• Holiday rotation required
• No on-call responsibilities
• Floating required as needed across all campuses within the health system
• Uses Epic EMR

Requirements

• Active RN license (NC or compact) required in hand at time of consideration
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
• Cardiac telemetry experience required
• Experience with management and interpretation of dysrhythmias
• Experience with peripheral line care/management and PICC line management
• Experience titrating drips required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Must pass a Pass/Fail EKG exam during compliance (two attempts allowed)
• Current driver's license required

Additional Information

• Provide high-acuity nursing care to patients with complex cardiac and telemetry needs
• Manage and interpret cardiac dysrhythmias and titrate cardiac drips
• Perform peripheral line and PICC line care and management
• Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility with no local rates offered
• Zero-tolerance policy for tardiness and unexcused absences
• Compliance must be completed by 12 Noon EST the Wednesday prior to the start date
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Previous charge nurse experience is preferred
• RTO must be submitted at the time of application; no post-submission RTO accepted
