Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a 42-bed Med/Surg Telemetry unit position requiring an NC or compact RN license and night shift availability.

Details

• 42-bed Med/Surg Telemetry unit in a hospital setting
• Patient population includes cardiac, diabetes, CHF, COPD, renal, general surgery, and orthopedics
• May care for IMCU patients based on census needs
• Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:6
• 4x12-hour night shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
• Weekends and holidays required
• No on-call responsibilities
• Floating to like or lesser acuity units required as needed
• Block scheduling requests cannot be accommodated
• Meditech EMR experience preferred

Requirements

• Active NC or compact RN license required — must be in hand at time of consideration; no license encumbrances accepted
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and CPI
• Minimum 1 year of clinical RN experience required
• Proficiency with insulin, heparin, and Lasix drips required
• Two professional references required for consideration
• Valid driver's license and Social Security card required for consideration

Additional Information

• Unit team consists of RNs, LPNs, PCTs, CNA/Unit Secretaries
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible — local candidates will not be considered
