Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Long-Term Care (LTC) position in Virginia, requiring an active VA or compact RN license and experience in skilled nursing or related care settings.

Details

• Long-term care (LTC) setting within a skilled nursing and rehabilitation facility
• Day shift schedule: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM (3x12-hour shifts)
• Every other weekend required
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active, unrestricted RN license in the Commonwealth of Virginia or a compact license accepted
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program
• Current BLS/CPR certification
• Previous experience in skilled nursing, rehabilitation, long-term care, or acute care preferred
• Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills
• Ability to lead a care team and delegate to LPNs and CNAs

Additional Information

• Provide direct nursing care to residents in accordance with individualized care plans, including medication administration, IV therapy, and treatments
• Supervise, mentor, and delegate responsibilities to LPNs and Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs)
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team including physicians, therapists, and families to coordinate resident care
• Monitor residents for changes in condition and initiate appropriate clinical interventions
• Complete timely and accurate documentation within the electronic medical record
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and care planning meetings
• All time-off and scheduling requests must be submitted at the time of initial consideration
• 2 professional supervisory references from within the past 2 years required for consideration
• Full 7-year work history with all gaps explained required for consideration
