Description
American Traveler is seeking an Occupational Therapist with 2+ years of experience for a 13-week travel contract at a CARF-accredited inpatient rehabilitation facility in Greenwood, IN, with a strong preference for IRF setting experience.
Details
- 44-bed inpatient acute rehabilitation hospital (IRF) setting
- Day shift, Monday–Friday with approximately 2–3 weekend days per month
- 36-hour work week, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM
- Adult patient population including stroke, brain injury, neurological conditions, spinal cord injury, amputation, cardiac, and orthopedic cases
- Daily caseload of approximately 6–7 patients
- Charting performed in UDS EHR
- Floating to sister rehab hospital locations may be required as needed
- No on-call requirements
Requirements
- Active OT license in Indiana required (license required if applicable)
- Minimum 2 years of OT experience preferred
- Current AHA BLS certification required
- IRF or inpatient rehabilitation experience highly preferred; candidates with only outpatient, school, or acute care experience are not considered a strong fit
- Adult IRF experience preferred
- Graduate of an accredited OT program
- SSN and date of birth required for consideration

- Facility is accredited by The Joint Commission and CARF-accredited for its Comprehensive Integrated Inpatient Rehabilitation Program and Stroke Specialty Program
- Emphasis on teamwork, fast-paced environment, and collaborative discharge planning to home
- Scrubs of any color except navy blue are required
- Candidates must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
- Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible
- Candidates who are employed full-time elsewhere are not eligible
- First-time travelers are not explicitly excluded, but IRF experience is highly preferred
