Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Cath Lab position requiring 2 years of experience and Epic proficiency in an interventional cardiology setting with on-call responsibilities.
Details
- Hospital-based Cath Lab and EP Lab setting
- Procedures include cardiac catheterization, STEMI response, electrophysiology, interventional radiology, peripheral vascular, stent placement, and biopsies (GI, GU/Renal)
- Required skills include blood/blood products administration, cardioversion/defibrillation, cooling/warming blanket management, 12-lead EKG acquisition, and syringe pump operation
- Day shift, 4x10-hour shifts, 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM
- On-call requirement of at least one weekday and one weekend per month; additional days and weekends may be required depending on staffing and vacation coverage
- Shifts may vary between 8-hour and 10-hour depending on scheduling needs
- Floating between all facilities within the state is expected; refusal to float may result in assignment termination
- Epic EMR experience required
Requirements
- Active WA RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
- Current certifications required: ACLS and BLS
- Minimum 2 years of Cath Lab or interventional cardiology RN experience required
- Epic EMR proficiency required
- At least 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting required for consideration
- Full SSN and DOB required for consideration
Additional Information
- First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
- Former permanent staff of any Providence/Swedish facility must have been separated for at least 3 months before returning as a traveler
- Candidates must not reside within 50 miles of the facility if they are a former permanent employee returning as a traveler
- Minimal RTO is strongly preferred for this position
- Any prior work history at a Providence facility (permanent, travel, or per-diem) must be disclosed, including location and dates
