Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg RN for a 13-week Days assignment requiring 2+ years of experience and a NM or compact RN license.

Details

• Work in a general Medical-Surgical inpatient nursing unit, including Rehab
• Patient ratio of 1:6
• Occasional non-critical pediatric patients on the floor as part of general Med/Surg duties
• Day shift schedule from 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM
• Floating required
• No standing on-call schedule, though census-based on-call may occur prior to a scheduled shift
• Uses MedHost EMR
• 13-week assignment

Requirements

• Active RN license (New Mexico or Compact) required
• BLS certification required
• ACLS and PALS certifications preferred
• Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg nursing experience required
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
• Certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of assignment start
• Fingerprinting required for all NM travelers

Additional Information

• Provide general Med/Surg nursing care to an adult patient population with occasional pediatric patients
• Scrubs of any color permitted
• Candidates must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible
• RTO requests must be less than one week
• Returning travelers who worked as permanent staff at any CHS facility within the past 2 years will not be considered
• First-time travelers may be considered for this position
