Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced travel RN for a Trauma ICU position requiring Level I Trauma experience, prior travel experience, and Epic proficiency.

Details

  • Level I Trauma ICU in an acute care hospital setting
  • 14-room, 16-bed ICU unit
  • Patient ratio of 1:2
  • Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 AM - 7:00 PM)
  • Floating required to ICU, IMC, and Telemetry units as needed
  • Epic EMR experience required

Requirements

  • Active TX RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
  • Required certifications: BLS and ACLS; NIHSS also required
  • Preferred certifications: PALS and TNCC
  • Minimum 2 years of ICU nursing experience
  • Level I Trauma ICU experience required
  • Prior travel nursing experience required
  • Epic EMR experience required
  • Candidates must reside outside the following TX counties to be eligible: Henderson, Anderson, Cherokee, Rusk, Panola, Smith, Gregg, Van Zandt, Wood, Upshur, Camp, Hopkins, Franklin, Titus, and Morris
  • 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration

Additional Information

  • Former permanent staff must have been separated from the facility for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
  • No travel pairs or groups accepted
  • RTO is limited to no more than 3 days and none during the first week of orientation
  • 13-week contract
