Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Medical-Surgical unit position requiring Ortho Trauma and Total Joint Replacement experience, working night shifts in a hospital setting.
Details
- Works in a 36-bed Medical-Surgical unit
- Patient population includes orthopedic trauma and total joint replacement cases
- Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:6
- Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:00)
- Epic EMR used; experience preferred
Requirements
- Active TX or Compact RN license required
- Current BLS certification required
- Minimum 1–2 years of RN experience required
- Ortho Trauma and Total Joint Replacement experience required
- Previous travel nursing experience preferred
- Epic EMR experience preferred
- 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration
Additional Information
- Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are not eligible
- Candidates residing in the following TX counties are not eligible: Henderson, Anderson, Cherokee, Rusk, Panola, Smith, Gregg, Van Zandt, Wood, Upshur, Camp, Hopkins, Franklin, Titus, and Morris
- Former permanent staff must have been separated for at least 1 year before being eligible to return as a traveler
- No travel pairs or groups accepted
- RTO is limited to no more than 3 days and no RTO is permitted during the first week of orientation
