Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an ER Holding Unit position at a Level I Trauma Center, with acute care/telemetry experience and ACLS certification required.

Details

• ER Holding Unit within a Level I Emergency Department
• Primarily responsible for caring for admitted patients waiting in the ED for inpatient bed availability, in a designated area or hallway as needed
• May be utilized in an acute care area on rare occasions when no patients are being boarded
• Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts (7:15 AM – 7:15 PM)
• Every other weekend required with some holiday coverage
• Floating within scope of practice required to meet facility needs
• Block scheduling available upon request
• Local candidates are accepted

Requirements

• Active TN or Compact RN license currently in hand (pending licenses not accepted)
• Current ACLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Acute care and/or med-surg telemetry experience required
• Driver's license and Social Security card required for consideration
• Two professional references required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provides nursing care to admitted patients boarding in the ED while awaiting inpatient bed placement
• First-time travelers may be considered depending on previous clinical experience
