Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an ICU position requiring a minimum of 2 years of ICU experience, cardiovascular/open heart/balloon pump experience, and Epic proficiency.

Details

• Hospital ICU setting with an average census of 24 and 28 available beds
• Adult and geriatric patient population
• Patient ratio of 1:2
• Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:30)
• Every other weekend coverage required
• No on-call responsibilities
• Self-scheduling unit
• Epic EMR — experience required

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS), and a violence intervention prevention certification (VIP, MAB, or CPI) — in-person course completion required
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
• Cardiovascular experience required, including open heart and intra-aortic balloon pump (IABP) management
• Proficiency in Epic EMR required
• Required clinical skills: dysrhythmia interpretation, IV insulin protocols, arterial line management, blood product administration, central line care/management, PICC line management, IV insertion, ventilated patient care, ABG interpretation, and suctioning
• 2 professional supervisory references from within the past 2 years required for consideration

• All requested time off must be submitted upfront and cannot be modified after submission (except to cancel previously requested dates)
• No time off permitted during the first two weeks of the assignment
• 13-week contract
