Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position at a Level II Trauma Center, requiring Epic Stork experience and night shift availability.
Details
- Labor & Delivery unit within a 431-bed, short-term acute care hospital designated as a Level II Trauma Center
- Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- Patient ratio of 1:2 with an average daily census of 5 deliveries
- Every other weekend required
- No on-call responsibilities
- Floating required to MBU or NICU within scope to meet facility needs
- Charting performed in Epic (Epic Stork specifically)
- Specialized equipment includes Triton for quantitative blood loss (AI technology), Surgicount, and Monica Novii
- Local candidates are accepted for this position
Requirements
- Active VA RN license or Compact RN license currently in hand
- Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NRP
- AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Heart Rate Monitoring or Relias Fetal Heart Rate certification required (facility can provide access to complete FHR training prior to assignment start)
- Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery RN experience required
- Epic Stork experience required
- Fetal heart monitoring (FHM) experience and circulating skills required
- Scrub and OB assist skills preferred
- Two professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration
- Full 7-year work history with all gaps explained required for consideration
Additional Information
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- All time-off requests must be submitted at the time of confirmation — excessive RTO requests are not accommodated
- Block scheduling cannot be guaranteed
- Navy blue scrubs required
