Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Med/Surg Tele position requiring a KY or compact RN license and BLS certification, with no prior experience required.

Details

• 41-bed inpatient Cardiac Telemetry/Progressive/Respiratory Care unit
• Cares for medical and surgical patients with cardiac dysrhythmia, respiratory illness, and altered hemodynamics requiring telemetry monitoring
• 13-week assignment at 36 hours per week
• Night shift schedule, 7P-7A, 3 days per week
• Required to work holidays and weekends
• No special scheduling requirements

Requirements

• Active, unrestricted RN license (KY or compact) required
• BLS certification required
• ACLS and NIHSS certifications required per department compliance
• ADN or ASN required; BSN preferred
• No prior nursing experience required, though preferred
• Ability to assess age-specific patient safety issues and implement appropriate safety devices

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care including assessments, treatments, and care coordination across admission, transfer, and discharge
• Deliver patient and family-centered education and individualized treatment planning
• Collaborate with the interprofessional care team and delegate tasks appropriately
• Participate in unit-based quality improvement activities and core measure initiatives
