Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Cardiac Cath Lab position at an acute care hospital in Texas, requiring a minimum of 2 years of experience, active ACLS and BLS certifications, and availability for on-call shifts.

Details

• Acute care hospital setting with 242 beds and Level II Trauma designation
• Cardiac Cath Lab unit with 2 procedure labs
• Approximately 6–8 cases per day
• Four 10-hour day shifts per week, Monday–Friday, 6:30 a.m.–5:00 p.m.
• On-call required 7–10 days per 5-week cycle
• EMR: Epic (used in the unit)
• GE Maclab equipment used in the lab
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active TX RN license or Compact (NLC) RN license — must be active at time of consideration; pending licenses not accepted
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications required; pending certifications not accepted
• Epic EMR experience preferred
• GE Maclab experience a plus
• Valid driver's license required for consideration

Additional Information

• Two professional references required: one supervisor from within the last 12 months and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years, each including dates of employment and eligibility for rehire
• Candidates must not have been directly employed (full-time, part-time, or PRN) by any CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity Health facility within the past year; candidates who worked PRN through outside staffing firms will be considered
• Orientation is 12 hours
