Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a PCU (Progressive Care Unit) night shift position requiring PALS certification, pediatric experience, and a minimum of 3 years of telemetry experience at a Level 1 Trauma facility.
Details
- Progressive Care Unit (PCU) in a hospital setting
- Night shift, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM, 36 hours per week
- Every other weekend (EOW) schedule
- Cardiac drip experience is utilized in this role
- Pediatric patient population included, requiring PALS-level readiness
- Epic EMR experience required
- Required to float to all like units
Requirements
- Active NJ RN license required (compact license accepted; pending license not accepted)
- Minimum 3 years of recent telemetry RN experience at a busy Level 1 Trauma facility
- Pediatric nursing experience required
- Cardiac drip management experience required
- Epic EMR experience required
- Current certifications required: BLS (AHA only), ACLS (AHA only), PALS, and NIHSS — American Red Cross certifications are not accepted
- Last 4 digits of SSN and date of birth required for consideration
Additional Information
- Experience at a large Level 1 Trauma Hospital is required
- COVID vaccination plus at least one booster is required; religious exemptions are accepted
- Candidates residing anywhere in the state of New Jersey are considered local and may be eligible at a different rate
- First-time travelers are not explicitly indicated as welcome — prior Level 1 Trauma telemetry experience is strongly emphasized
