Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced Labor & Delivery RN for a night shift travel contract at a Level I Trauma, Magnet-designated acute care hospital in Illinois, requiring a minimum of 2 years of L&D experience and advanced fetal monitoring skills.
Details
- Labor and Delivery unit within a Level I Trauma Center, Magnet-designated acute care hospital (562 beds)
- 4x12-hour night shifts (18:45–07:15)
- Required to work every third weekend
- Floating is required for all travelers — candidates may float within the hospital or to a nearby affiliate hospital
- No on-call requirements
- Charting is done in Cerner
- Scrubs are provided for this role
- Local candidates are accepted with no radius restriction
Requirements
- Active Illinois (IL) RN license required and must be in hand at time of consideration
- Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and Advanced Fetal Monitoring (AHA or Red Cross accepted; RQI AHA cards are not accepted)
- Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery RN experience required
- Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM) interpretation skills and experience required
- Teaching hospital experience preferred
- SSN and DOB required for consideration
Additional Information
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Candidates must work 2 out of 3 major holidays
- RTO of more than 5 non-holiday days requires facility approval
- Any former permanent or PRN employee of the Memorial Hospital System must have been separated for at least 12 months before being eligible to apply as a traveler
- Travel pairs are not accepted
- Schedule change requests should be discussed directly with the manager
