Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced ICU RN for a float pool position at a high-acuity, inner-city Level 1 trauma center, requiring a minimum of 2 years of critical care experience in a similar-sized facility.

Details

• Float pool position covering all critical care floors, ER and ER hold, MTC/Step-Down, and PACU as needed
• Patients assigned in the ER will be limited when floating to that area
• High-acuity, inner-city Level 1 trauma center with complex, high-volume, and diverse case types
• Night shift, 12 hours per shift
• Travelers are expected to work 4 weekend shifts per month
• Block scheduling is generally not approved
• Epic EMR
• No on-call required

Requirements

• Active RN license — GA license or Compact RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum of 2 years of ICU experience in a similarly sized, high-volume facility
• Proven experience in high-pressure, large-scale trauma environments with diverse and severe cases
• Experience managing critical, fast-paced clinical situations
• Candidates with experience limited to small or low-volume hospitals will not be considered
