Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a night shift ICU position in Illinois, requiring at least one year of acute care critical care experience and an active IL RN license.

Details

• ICU setting within an acute care hospital
• May float between the ICU and Telemetry unit
• Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
• 13-week assignment

Requirements

• Active IL RN license required
• Certifications required: BLS and ACLS (American Heart Association or Red Cross accepted for both)
• NIHSS certification required
• De-escalation/workplace violence prevention training required (DCI/BVP); can be completed via Relias, Healthcare Staffing Hire, or the free CDC NIOSH resource
• Minimum 1 year of experience as a staff RN in an acute care hospital critical care setting
• Proficiency in cardiac strip interpretation and titration of drips required
• EMR experience required; specific system varies by facility
• CCRN certification preferred
• COVID vaccination and boosters preferred
• DOB and SSN required for consideration

Additional Information

• Responsible for delivering safe patient care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the nursing process
• Provides direct patient care within scope of practice and directs activities of other nursing personnel to maintain ICU standards of care
• Communicates with physicians regarding changes in patient condition, including hemodynamic monitoring, diagnostic results, and abnormal findings
• Monitors and responds to changes in patient condition and treatment response, including hemodynamic assessment
