Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Telemetry/Progressive Care Unit position requiring an active IL RN license and hands-on experience with drips, titration, and advanced procedures.
Details
- PCU/Telemetry unit in a hospital setting, with trauma levels varying by location (Level 1–4)
- Experience with chest tubes, femstops, trachs, CBIs, drains, and central lines required
- Vasoactive and cardiac drip management required, including Amiodarone, Cardizem, Nitro, Insulin, Heparin, Dopamine, Dobutamine, Isuprel, Milrinone, and Argatroban with titration
- EMR: Epic
Requirements
- Active IL RN license required at time of consideration; IA RN license also required (proof of application accepted if not yet active)
- Current BLS (AHA) and ACLS (AHA) certifications required and must be active at time of consideration
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
- Experience with advanced procedures including chest tubes, central lines, trachs, CBIs, femstops, and drains
- Proficiency with vasoactive and cardiac drip titration
- Driver's license required for consideration
- One supervisory performance evaluation or reference from within the past 2 years required for consideration
- Skills checklist completed within the past year required for consideration
- Must not have been employed by UnityPoint Health within the past 12 months
Additional Information
- At least one completed travel contract is preferred
- Candidates must have a taxable home address located more than 50 miles from the facility
- Travelers are required to work 2 of the 3 winter holidays: Christmas, New Year's, or Thanksgiving
- RTO during the Thanksgiving and Christmas/New Year's holiday windows is limited to 1 day per window
- Prior travel experience preferred but not explicitly required for first-time travelers
