Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced CVICU RN for a night shift travel contract at a Level I Trauma, Magnet-designated acute care hospital in Springfield, IL, with PICC line management and IV start skills required.

Details

• Works in the Cardiovascular ICU (CVICU) of a 562-bed Level I Trauma, Magnet-designated acute care hospital
• Night shift schedule: 6:45 PM – 7:08 AM, 3x12-hour shifts; open to 4x12 schedule (discuss with manager)
• Every third weekend required
• Charting via Cerner (experience preferred)
• Floating within scope is required, including potential float to nearby affiliate hospitals
• Block scheduling accommodated upon request — connect with manager to discuss

Requirements

• Active IL RN license required; candidates actively in the application process with an ETA will be considered
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required (AHA or Red Cross accepted; RQI cards not accepted)
• Minimum 1 year of CVICU or relevant RN experience required
• PICC line management experience required
• Demonstrated experience with peripheral IV insertion required
• Prior charge nurse experience preferred
• SSN and DOB required for consideration

• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Local candidates are accepted with no radius restriction
• Any previous permanent or PRN employee of the Memorial Hospital System must have been separated for at least 12 months before applying as a traveler
• Travel pairs are not accepted
• RTO of up to 5 days is ideally requested; anything beyond 5 days requires facility approval
• Candidates must be available to work 2 out of 3 major holidays
• Parking is available at no cost; a parking permit will be provided during orientation
• Any solid color scrubs are acceptable
• All licenses and certifications must be active at the time of consideration
