Description
American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with NICU/PICU experience for a night shift travel assignment in a neonatal and pediatric critical care setting in New Jersey.
Details
- Neonatal and pediatric critical care setting within a large university hospital system
- Patient population includes neonatal critical care and pediatric patients
- Procedures include blood gas analysis, ventilator/BiPAP/high-flow initiation and management, code response, in-house transport, medication administration, and chest PT
- Equipment used includes Servo I & U and V60 BiPAP
- Charting via Epic EMR
- Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:30)
- Every other weekend requirement (Friday/Saturday)
- Floating between pediatric units and NICU; may also float to adult units on the main campus
Requirements
- Minimum 1.5 years of NICU and/or PICU experience required
- Current NJ or Compact state license required; license required if applicable
- Active NBRC credential required
- BLS required
- ACLS, PALS, and NRP required (may be obtained onsite)
- SSN and DOB required for consideration
- Two current professional references required
- NURSYS verification and state license required for consideration
Additional Information
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Local candidates are accepted at the same rate
- Former employees of the RWJBH health system (full-time or PRN) must have been separated from the system for a minimum of 1 year before being eligible for a travel assignment
- All time-off requests must be submitted and approved prior to an offer being extended
- Copy of certifications required for consideration
