Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Pediatric Critical Care Float Pool position requiring PICU and NICU experience with Epic proficiency across multiple pediatric units.

Details

• Float pool position rotating across multiple pediatric units including PICU, NICU, Peds Med/Surg, Peds PACU, Peds ED Boarders, and Postpartum/Mother Baby
• Day shift, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• 36 or 48 hours per week, scheduled as 4x12-hour shifts
• Block scheduling cannot be accommodated
• Every other weekend required
• Every other holiday required
• Epic EMR experience required

Requirements

• Active VA or Compact RN license required; pending VA license will be accepted
• Current certifications required: BLS, NRP, ACLS, and PALS
• Dr. Brown's Infant Driven Feeding Certification required (may be submitted as pending; certification has an out-of-pocket cost of $185)
• Minimum 2 years of PICU experience required
• NICU experience required
• Pediatric PACU experience highly preferred
• Epic EMR experience required
• Two professional references required for consideration
• Copy of driver's license and Social Security card required for consideration

Additional Information

• Candidates with prior NICU/PICU float pool experience will be given strong consideration
• Must adhere to the facility's float pool policy and may be floated based on clinical experience
• Up to 40 hours of RTO may be approved per 13-week contract; no RTO will be approved during the first 2 weeks of assignment
• Candidates who have previously worked at this facility must allow 12 months to pass before returning as a traveler
