Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry position at an acute care hospital, requiring Epic EMR experience and a VA or compact RN license.

Details

• 26-bed acute care unit serving a diverse patient population, primarily General Surgery and Trauma patients
• Post-surgical patients comprise approximately 90% of the unit, with the remaining 10% having medical diagnoses
• All patient rooms are equipped for cardiac monitoring, capnography/end-tidal CO2 monitoring, and continuous pulse oximetry
• Day shift schedule: 4x12-hour shifts (7:00–19:00)
• 36 or 48 hours per week available
• Block scheduling cannot be accommodated
• Every other weekend and every other holiday required
• Labor Day weekend off cannot be approved
• Floating required in accordance with facility float policy
• EMR: Epic (experience required)

Requirements

• Active RN license — VA state or compact license accepted; pending VA license will be considered
• BLS required; ACLS preferred but not required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Two professional references required for consideration
• Valid driver's license and Social Security card required for consideration

Additional Information

• 13-week contract
• Up to 40 hours of RTO available per 13-week contract
• No radius rule — local candidates are welcome to apply
• Candidates who have previously worked at this facility must allow 12 months to pass before returning as a traveler
