Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced ICU RN for a float pool position covering multiple critical care and intermediate care units at a Level 1 trauma academic medical center, with Epic EMR experience required.
Details
- Float pool position covering multiple ICU and intermediate care units, including Medical ICU, Thoracic Cardiovascular ICU, Coronary Care Unit, Surgical Trauma ICU (Level 1 Trauma), Neuro & Neurosurgery ICU, Critical Care and Intermediate Care Special Pathogens Unit, Thoracic Cardiovascular Intermediate Unit, Surgical Trauma Intermediate Unit, Neuro & Neurosurgery Intermediate Unit, and ED Boarders
- Night shift, 7p–7a (4x12-hour shifts per week)
- 36 or 48 hours per week available
- Every other weekend required
- Every other holiday required
- EMR: Epic (experience required)
Requirements
- Active VA RN license or compact RN license (pending VA license will be accepted)
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Epic EMR experience required
- Multi-specialty critical care experience required to support floating across ICU and intermediate care units
- Two professional references required for consideration
- Copy of driver's license and Social Security card required for consideration
Additional Information
- Must adhere to the facility's float pool policy, floating across critical care and intermediate care units based on clinical experience
- Up to 40 hours of RTO may be approved per 13-week contract; no RTO will be approved during the first 2 weeks of assignment
- Block scheduling cannot be guaranteed
- Candidates who have previously worked at this facility must allow 12 months to pass before returning as a traveler
- No radius rule — local candidates are accepted
