Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Cath Lab RN with diagnostic and interventional catheterization skills and Epic proficiency for a 13-week travel assignment.

Details

• Hospital-based Cardiac Cath Lab setting serving adult patients
• Common diagnoses include coronary artery disease, valve disorders, and heart failure
• Averages 4 cases per day
• Shift options: 4x10s (7:00 AM–5:30 PM) or 5x8s (8:00 AM–4:30 PM)
• 10–12 call days per month, including weekends
• Must be able to return to the hospital within 30 minutes when on call
• One holiday per 13-week contract required, on a rotating basis with staff
• Epic EMR experience required

Requirements

• Active VA or Compact RN license required; Virginia will grant emergency authorization while a permanent VA license is processing
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum experience in diagnostic and interventional Cath Lab settings using fluoroscopy
• Proficiency in diagnostic and interventional catheterizations, including left and right heart catheterization
• Experience with Pulmonary Artery Line/Swan Ganz monitoring, Pericardiocentesis, IABP insertion, PPM/TPM insertion, loop recorder, and PE cases
• Skilled in sterile technique, EKG lead placement, dysrhythmia recognition and interpretation, hemodynamic monitoring, and rapid response protocols
• Knowledge of isolation precautions, equipment handling, and supply management
• Must reside outside the local area (radius rule applies — see additional information)
• Valid driver's license and Social Security card required for consideration
