Description

American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with strong OB experience for a 13-week night shift contract at a community hospital in Washington State.

Details

• 12-hour night shifts, 1730–0600, 36 hours per week
• Community hospital setting within the Cardiopulmonary department
• Strong OB experience is required for this role
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Current RRT credential required
• Current Washington State Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license required; license required if applicable
• Minimum 3 years of experience; 1 year of current acute care experience preferred
• Active certifications required: BLS/BCLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP
• Ability to lift 50 lbs from floor to waist and from wheelchair to bed level
• Ability to lift 5 lbs overhead, pull 50 lbs from stretcher to bed, and push a 150 lb loaded stretcher 300 feet
• Adequate auditory and visual ability to perform clinical procedures, take blood pressures, and complete charting
• DOB and SSN may be required for consideration

Additional Information

• Responsible for providing, coordinating, and directing individualized comprehensive respiratory care based on patient assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
• Reports to the Cardiopulmonary Director; in the Director's absence, reports to the Lead RRT
• Expected to function with minimal supervision once oriented
• Must be a team player; any requested time off (RTO) must be pre-approved and will be added to the end of the contract
• The facility is located near the Pacific Northwest beaches and Olympic National Forest
