Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an ICU position in Alaska, requiring a minimum of 3 years of recent ICU experience and an active AK RN license.
Details
- Acute care ICU setting with a 6-bed unit
- Night shift, 12-hour shifts
- Nurse-to-patient ratio of 2:1, occasionally 3:1
- EMR: Epic; medication dispensing via Pyxis
- 8-week contract
- Local candidates are accepted at the same rate
Requirements
- Active Alaska (AK) RN license required
- Minimum 3 years of recent ICU experience required
- Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS or ENPC
- COVID vaccination or signed declination form required; unvaccinated staff must wear a mask on-site
Additional Information
- Provides individualized, goal-directed nursing care using the nursing process and principles of primary nursing in accordance with hospital policies and standards of practice
- 3-day department orientation provided upon arrival
- Medication testing must be completed on-site within the first two weeks
- Pre-employment modules must be completed before the start date
- Candidates with any previous employment at this facility must disclose it for a do-not-use (DNU) check
- Scrubs required; not provided by the facility
