Description
American Traveler is hiring a Cardiac Sonographer with 2+ years of echocardiography experience for a 13-week cardiology assignment requiring prior travel experience.
Details
- Hospital-based cardiology department setting
- Day shift, 8 hours per shift, 5 shifts per week, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
- Schedule spans Monday through Sunday with rotating weekends (every third)
- Holiday coverage is required
- No on-call required
- 40 hours per week
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience performing and interpreting 2D, M-Mode, and Doppler echocardiograms
- Current RDCS or RCS registration required
- Active BLS certification required
- Completion of a CAAHEP-accredited Cardiac Sonography certificate program or equivalent required
- Prior travel experience required
- Two professional references required for consideration
- Active MA license required for consideration, if applicable to specialty
- Candidates must live more than 50 miles from the facility to qualify for the travel pay rate
Additional Information
- Performs M-Mode, 2D, Color Doppler, Pulsed and Continuous Wave Doppler, Stress Echo, Stress Doppler, and Trans-esophageal Echo (TEE) studies for diagnostic purposes
- Assists cardiologists with TEE and Dobutamine echo examinations
- Performs EKGs, stress tests, and Holter monitoring
- Analyzes patient clinical history to frame and expand examinations as clinically necessary
- Reports directly to the Director of Cardio/Pulmonary/Neurology and works under the direction of the supervising physician(s)
- Local candidates living within 50 miles of the facility are eligible but will be considered at a reduced rate
