Description

American Traveler is hiring a Critical Care Float Pool RN for an ICU position requiring a minimum of 2 years of ICU experience, Epic proficiency, and weekend availability across multiple critical care units.

Details

• Position is part of a Critical Care Float Pool, requiring nurses to rotate across multiple ICUs based on staffing needs and patient acuity
• Units include Neuro ICU, Surgical ICU, Medical ICU (MICU x2), Cardiology/Diagnostics, CVICU, SICU, and NCCU
• Floating is required within units of equivalent or lower acuity
• Schedule is 3x12-hour day shifts (7:00–19:30), with weekend shifts required plus one weekday shift per week
• Epic EMR experience is required
• Position involves telemetry monitoring, IV starts, and ventilator management

Requirements

• Active OH or compact RN license required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
• Proficiency with Epic EMR required
• IV start, telemetry, and ventilator management experience required
• 2 professional references required: at least 1 must be from a Manager, Director, or Supervisor; a Charge RN is acceptable as the second reference; co-worker references are not accepted

Additional Information

• Local candidates are accepted
• Former employees of the facility are eligible to apply after a 6-month separation from the facility
• Requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of consideration and is limited to 7 days or fewer for the contract duration
• Ohio state fingerprinting is required and must be completed promptly after accepting a position — candidates outside Ohio will need to travel to an in-state fingerprinting location or complete a mailed packet urgently upon receipt
