Description

American Traveler is hiring a Vascular Sonographer for a 13-week travel assignment in a hospital-based Vascular Lab, requiring 2+ years of acute care experience and ARDMS-RVT certification.

Details

• Hospital-based Vascular Lab setting serving patients ages 17–100 with varied ethnicity and socioeconomic backgrounds
• Schedule: Monday and Tuesday 6:30 AM–7:00 PM, Wednesday 8:00 AM–8:30 PM; set schedule assigned 6 weeks in advance
• 36 hours per week on 12-hour day shifts; shifts are no more than 10 hours on non-primary days
• Weekend rotation required
• On-call required 2 nights per month
• Holiday coverage expected when the holiday falls on a scheduled workday
• No floating required
• EMR: Epic (experience required)
• Equipment includes IU22, GE Logiq E10, and Philips ultrasound systems

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of acute care experience
• Current BLS and ARDMS-RVT certification required
• Proficiency in independent vascular exams
• Strong communication skills required
• License required if applicable

Additional Information

• Perform vascular sonography exams independently across a diverse patient population
• Most shifts have multiple staff members available for departmental support
• Orientation includes new employee orientation (NEO) plus 1–2 weeks of unit-specific training
• A manager interview is required for this position
• RTO requests must be approved by the manager
• At least one reference required for initial consideration; a second supervisor-level reference (Charge Nurse, Manager, Director, or above) will be required prior to start
