Description
American Traveler is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist with at least 2 years of experience, including PET scanning, for a travel assignment at an acute care regional medical center.
Details
- Nuclear Medicine department within a regional medical center
- Performs PET and nuclear medicine scanning using GE equipment
- Monday through Friday day shifts, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM; no weekends or on-call required
- Schedule follows a 36/48 rotating format — alternating between 3x12 and 4x12 shifts (84 hours per two-week period)
- Floating within clinical scope of practice is required
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of Nuclear Medicine or relevant experience required, including at least 1 year of PET scanning experience
- Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMTCB) or ARRT (R) with PET experience; CT Techs with PET experience will also be considered
- Current AHA BLS required
- Active compact or state license required (license required if applicable)
- Driver's license with permanent address required for consideration
- 2 professional references required: 1 charge-level or higher and 1 supervisor reference, both completed within the last year
- Candidates must reside at least 75 miles from the facility; local candidates are not accepted
Additional Information
- Perform PET and nuclear medicine imaging procedures using GE equipment
- Orientation is conducted on a bi-weekly basis
- Up to 7 days of RTO may be considered; RTO must be submitted upfront with no changes accepted after submission
- Candidates must be willing and available to work either a major or minor holiday during the assignment
- Travelers who have worked within the system for one year must take a minimum 6-month break before being eligible to return
- Any license issues or background check concerns must be disclosed upfront
- Middle name is required for consideration; confirmation of no middle name is also acceptable
