Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Operating Room position in Siler City, NC, requiring an active NC or compact RN license and at least one year of nursing experience.

Details

• Hospital-based surgical services department providing OR services for elective surgical programs, general surgery, and some emergency cases
• Staff may rotate between pre-op, PACU, and OR depending on daily assignment needs
• Day shift with variable start times ranging from 6:45 AM to 8:00 AM (end times adjusted accordingly)
• 40 hours per week, 5 days per week, 8-hour shifts
• On-call is required; weekend and holiday coverage required for on-call only

Requirements

• Active RN license in North Carolina or a compact license currently in hand
• Current BLS certification (AHA or ARC) required
• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience required
• Nursing Diploma, ADN, or ASN from an accredited nursing school required; BSN or MSN preferred

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include patient assessment, care planning, implementation, and evaluation for patients with complex surgical needs
• Collaborates with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate continuity of care and discharge planning
• Engages in patient and family education, assessing readiness and developmental factors affecting learning
• Participates in unit goal development, performance improvement activities, and cost-effective care promotion
• Two professional references are required for consideration
• Drug screen must be completed within 24 hours of commitment; allow at least 2 weeks for background check and drug screen results
