Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Telemetry/Step-Down position at a Magnet, Level I Trauma teaching hospital, requiring a minimum of 2 years of telemetry experience and a valid MO or compact RN license.
Details
- Telemetry/Step-Down unit in a short-term acute care hospital
- 1,266-bed Magnet-designated, Level I Trauma teaching hospital
- Patient ratio of 1:4-5
- Night shift schedule (3x12 hours, 19:00–07:30)
- Option to work 36 or 48 hours per week
- Every other weekend required
- Floating within scope required to meet facility needs
- Block scheduling is not available
- Epic EMR; experience required
- Cardiac drips and EKG interpretation are part of the role
Requirements
- Active MO RN license or compact RN license valid in Missouri required at time of consideration
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
- Telemetry and/or step-down unit experience required
- Experience with cardiac drips and EKG interpretation required
- Epic EMR experience required
- Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible
Additional Information
- 13-week contract with a minimum commitment; longer contracts may be available
- No more than 7 days of RTO per 13-week contract; no RTO during the first week of orientation
- Navy blue scrubs required
- Parking passes are available for purchase on a monthly basis; multiple lots and garages are available near the facility at varying rates
- Former permanent employees of any BJC facility must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler
- Travelers may remain at this facility for up to 18 months, after which a 3-month break in service is required
- First-time travelers may be considered; check position details for eligibility
