Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Telemetry/Step-Down position at a Magnet, Level I Trauma teaching hospital, requiring a minimum of 2 years of telemetry experience and a valid MO or compact RN license.

Details

• Telemetry/Step-Down unit in a short-term acute care hospital
• 1,266-bed Magnet-designated, Level I Trauma teaching hospital
• Patient ratio of 1:4-5
• Night shift schedule (3x12 hours, 19:00–07:30)
• Option to work 36 or 48 hours per week
• Every other weekend required
• Floating within scope required to meet facility needs
• Block scheduling is not available
• Epic EMR; experience required
• Cardiac drips and EKG interpretation are part of the role

Requirements

• Active MO RN license or compact RN license valid in Missouri required at time of consideration
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Telemetry and/or step-down unit experience required
• Experience with cardiac drips and EKG interpretation required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible

Additional Information

• 13-week contract with a minimum commitment; longer contracts may be available
• No more than 7 days of RTO per 13-week contract; no RTO during the first week of orientation
• Navy blue scrubs required
• Parking passes are available for purchase on a monthly basis; multiple lots and garages are available near the facility at varying rates
• Former permanent employees of any BJC facility must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler
• Travelers may remain at this facility for up to 18 months, after which a 3-month break in service is required
