Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a night shift Emergency Department position at a short-term acute care hospital, requiring Epic EMR experience and a valid MO or compact RN license.
Details
- Work in the Emergency Department of a 68-bed short-term acute care hospital
- Primary care ED (no trauma) serving an adult patient population, with capability to stabilize and transfer pediatric patients
- Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:30)
- Every other weekend required
- No on-call requirements
- Floating required within scope to ICU and Med/Surg areas as needed by the facility
- Charting via Epic EMR
- Navy blue scrubs required
- Free employee parking on-site
Requirements
- Active MO RN license or compact RN license valid in Missouri required; IL candidates may apply with a pending IL license
- Minimum 2 years of ED RN experience required
- Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS), and PALS
- Epic EMR experience required
- TNCC and pediatric experience preferred
- Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible
Additional Information
- First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
- RTO is limited to no more than 7 days per 13-week contract; no RTO permitted during the first week of orientation
- Former permanent employees of any BJC facility must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler
- Travelers may work at this facility for up to 18 months, after which a 3-month break in service is required
