Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an ICU position requiring Impella and CRRT/NXStage experience, Epic proficiency, and an active LA or compact RN license.

Details

• Hospital ICU setting with float requirements to all ICUs and potentially to the ED or PACU to care for ICU patients, with occasional float to MS/PCU units at a 1:4 ratio
• Standard patient ratio is 1:2, with occasional flex to 1:3
• Day shift, 4x12-hour shifts, 7:00–19:30
• 13-week contract
• 4 weekend shifts required per 4-week schedule
• No on-call responsibilities
• Equipment includes: Alaris IV Pumps, CADD PCA Pumps, Servo I Ventilators, Fresenius CRRT Dialysis Machines, Edwards Lifesciences Cardiac Monitors, Medtronic EVD Management Systems, Arctic Sun TMS, GE Monitors, Hill-Rom Beds, Pyxis Medication Station, and Veratron Bladder Scanner
• Epic EMR experience required

Requirements

• Active LA or compact RN license required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, CPI, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required; CVICU experience highly preferred
• Impella experience required
• CRRT/NXStage experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• A supervisor reference dated within the last 12 months is required for consideration
• Copy of driver's license required for consideration
• Any employment gaps of more than 30 days must be listed and explained

Additional Information

• Nurses are responsible for all lab draws, EKGs, and line starts
• CPI certification can be obtained at the facility for $100 if not already held
• All nurses must be prepared to care for isolation patients, including COVID-19 patients; candidates should know their N95 mask size
• Former permanent employees of any LCMC facility must have been separated for at least 1 year to be eligible
• Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to qualify for travel pay rates
• RTO is limited to 5 days for the duration of the contract
