Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a CVICU position at a Level III Trauma Center and teaching hospital, requiring a minimum of 2 years of CVICU experience and active Epic proficiency.
Details
- Short-term acute care hospital setting, Level III Trauma Center and teaching hospital with 733 staffed beds
- Cardiovascular ICU (CVICU) unit
- Patient ratio of 1:2-3
- Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:00)
- Every other weekend required
- No on-call requirements
- Floating within scope to like units or sister campus may be required based on facility needs
- Charting system: Epic (experience required)
Requirements
- Active NC or Compact RN license currently in hand — pending licenses not accepted
- Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
- Minimum 2 years of CVICU experience required
- Epic EMR experience required
Additional Information
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the main campus to be eligible — local candidates are not accepted
- Royal blue and white scrubs required
- Pre-start orientation modules required (approximately 4–10 hours)
- Only 1 holiday approval per contract
- RTO is subject to manager discretion, with a general maximum of 4 days per contract
- Travelers must have been away from this health system for at least 1 year before returning in a travel capacity
- Travelers on night shift may extend up to twice before being required to be away for 6 months to return
- First-time travelers are generally not preferred; exceptions may be made at the manager's discretion based on years of experience
- SSN and DOB required for consideration
