Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an Operating Room position requiring a minimum of 3 years of experience, Level I or II trauma experience, and proficiency with the da Vinci Xi robotic surgical system.

Details

• Hospital operating room setting
• Day shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00–19:30)
• On-call requirements consist of 2–3 call shifts within a 6-week matrix, with a 30-minute on-site response required
• 3–4 weekend shifts (days, evenings, or nights) required within a 6-week matrix
• Holiday coverage required on an as-needed basis, which may fall on day, evening, or night shift
• Floating required on an as-needed basis
• Special scheduling requests and blocked scheduling cannot be accommodated

Requirements

• Active PA RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
• Minimum 3 years of OR RN experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Level I trauma center experience strongly preferred; Level II trauma center experience (1+ year) is the minimum requirement
• Proficiency with the da Vinci Xi robotic system required; familiarity with the da Vinci 5 (DV5) is a plus
• Must be able to function independently across all required OR specialties including robotics, orthopedics, general, GYN, urology, bariatrics, ENT, plastics, vascular, thoracic (excluding cardiac and open heart surgery), and trauma
• Ability to both scrub and circulate preferred
• No refresher training will be provided — candidates must be able to practice independently from day one
• 13-week contract
