Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced NICU RN for a 13-week night shift travel contract requiring NRP certification and Dr. Brown's Infant Driven Feeding certification.

Details

• NICU (Neonatal Intensive Care Unit) in an academic medical center setting
• Night shift schedule: 7p–7a (19:00–07:00)
• Three 12-hour shifts per week, with options for 36 or 48 hours per week
• Three weekends required per every 6-week scheduling period
• Every other holiday required; Labor Day weekend is not available for time off
• Epic EMR experience required

Requirements

• Active VA RN license or Compact RN license required; pending VA license will be accepted
• Current BLS certification required
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification must be in hand at time of consideration
• Dr. Brown's Infant Driven Feeding certification required (may be pending at time of consideration; note: certification has an out-of-pocket cost of $185)
• Two professional references required for consideration
• Valid driver's license and Social Security card required for consideration

Additional Information

• No radius rule — local candidates are welcome to apply
• Travelers who have previously worked at this facility must wait at least 12 months before returning
• Time off is not approved during the first two weeks of the assignment
• Up to 40 hours of RTO may be approved for the duration of the 13-week contract
• Floating may be required in accordance with candidate clinical experience
