Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced OR RN for a 13-week travel contract in Rochester, NY, requiring a minimum of 3 years of OR experience across specialties including ortho, neuro, vascular, and thoracic surgery.

Details

• Hospital-based Operating Room setting
• Diverse surgical caseload including orthopedic/total joint and trauma, neurosurgery, GYN/urology, vascular, and thoracic procedures
• Extensive procedural scope including bariatric, colorectal, ENT, plastics, spine, and robotic surgery (Da Vinci Xi)
• Day shift, 4x10-hour shifts (9:00–19:30)
• On-call required
• Epic EMR preferred
• Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible

Requirements

• Active NY RN license required (pending license not accepted)
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 3 years of OR nursing experience required
• Experience across multiple surgical specialties required, including ortho/total joint and trauma, neuro, GYN/urology, vascular, and thoracic
• Proficiency in phlebotomy and IV placement required
• Epic EMR experience preferred
• 2 professional supervisor references from within the past 2 years required for consideration
• Full 7-year work history with all gaps explained required for consideration

Additional Information

• First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
• Teal scrubs required
• Facility will try to accommodate block scheduling but it is not guaranteed
• Minimal time-off requests preferred; all RTO requests must be submitted at the time of initial consideration
• 13-week assignment
