Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced ICU RN for a Level 1 Trauma Center position requiring a minimum of 2 years of recent ICU experience, mandatory floating across multiple ICU units, and an active IL RN license.
Details
- Day shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM–7:30 PM
- ICU unit with rotation across multiple specialty ICUs including Burn ICU, CCU, Medical ICU, SICU, and Neuro ICU
- Floating to med-surg units may be required to support staffing needs
- This is a mandatory float facility — all clinicians are required to float at the facility's discretion
- Every other weekend (approximately 2 weekends per month) required
- No on-call requirements
- Charting is done in Cerner
- Level 1 Trauma Center setting
Requirements
- Active IL RN license required — pending licensure is not accepted
- Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
- Minimum 2 years of recent acute care experience in an ICU setting
- 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration
- COVID vaccination proof required — no exceptions (booster not required)
Additional Information
- Orientation and precepting shift during the first week will be conducted on day shift
- RTO is capped at 5 days maximum for the contract, with no more than 2 consecutive days off at a time
- No RTO approved on weekends, holidays, or the day immediately before or after a holiday
- No block scheduling or special scheduling requests will be approved
- Candidates must reside within 75 miles of the facility — local candidates are accepted and preferred
- Navy blue scrubs required and are not provided by the facility
