Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg position requiring a TN or compact RN license, with night shift scheduling and a minimum 100-mile radius requirement.

Details

• Medical Surgical unit in a hospital setting
• Patient ratio of 1:7
• Night shift schedule: 6:30 PM – 7:00 AM, 4x12-hour shifts per week
• Schedule options: 36/36, 36/48, or 48/48 per week
• No on-call responsibilities
• Floating is required
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active TN or compact RN license required at time of consideration
• Current AHA BLS and NIHSS certifications required (AHA-issued only)
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Must reside 100+ miles from the hospital's service area — local candidates are not accepted
• Two supervisory references from within the past 2 years required for consideration

• Orientation begins on Sundays with online computer-based learning (CBLs)
• Contract RNs are expected to actively support nursing student education and clinical learning alongside their regular patient care duties
