Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a NICU position in Baltimore, MD, requiring pediatric and trach/vent experience with alternating day/night shifts.
Details
- NICU setting within a pediatric hospital environment
- Patient population includes neonates, infants, and pediatric patients with diagnoses such as prematurity, apnea of prematurity (AOP), retinopathy of prematurity (ROP), bronchopulmonary/chronic lung disease (BLD/CLD), cardiac defects, feeding issues, and neonatal abstinence syndrome (NAS)
- Patient ratio is 1:3, up to 1:4 with lower acuity patients
- Specialized equipment includes trach/vents, PICCs/central lines, and TPN/IL
- Alternating day and night shifts (3x12-hour shifts per week); days run 7:00–19:00, nights run 19:30–7:30
- Every other weekend required
- Floating required within specialty and sister units as needed
- No on-call requirements
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Active RN license in Maryland (MD) or a Compact RN license currently in hand
- Current certifications: BLS and CPI required; ACLS preferred
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
- Pediatric nursing experience required
- Proficiency with trach/vent management required
Additional Information
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Holiday coverage required as holidays fall on the schedule
- Any color or print scrubs are acceptable
