Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a PACU position requiring an active NY RN license, with ACLS and PALS certifications, serving an all-age, all-surgical-case patient population.
Details
- Hospital-based Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) with 20 beds
- All-age, all-surgical-cases patient population
- Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:2 depending on acuity; 1:1 for pediatric and ICU patients
- Unit staffed with a unit secretary and 2 PCTs
- 30–60 surgical cases per day
- Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts (9:00 AM – 9:30 PM)
- 36 hours of weekend call required per month
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Active NY RN license currently in hand
- Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
- Prior PACU experience required
Additional Information
- Candidates who have been employed by any Guthrie facility within the past year are not eligible for this position
- No blocked scheduling permitted
- Up to 5 days of RTO may be approved upfront; holidays are excluded from RTO
