Description

American Traveler is seeking an RN for a 13-week Med/Surg Ortho/Neuro assignment requiring a TX or compact RN license and 2+ years of experience.

Details

• 15-bed Ortho/Neuro nursing unit in a hospital setting
• Night shift schedule from 18:45 to 07:15
• 13-week assignment length
• Epic EMR system used for charting

Requirements

• Active TX or compact RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• BLS certification required (AHA)
• Nursys license verification required within 30 days prior to start
• Navy or maroon scrubs required

Additional Information

• Provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols
• Implement and monitor patient care plans while monitoring, recording, and communicating patient condition
• Serve as primary coordinator across disciplines for well-coordinated patient care
• Carry out physician and nursing orders and assess discharge planning needs with the healthcare team
• Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and ability to work with minimal supervision in a stressful environment
• Radius rule applies allowing local candidates at a reduced rate that varies by facility location
• Candidates should begin discussing assignment extension with their manager approximately 45 days before the end date
