Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Med/Surg Orthopedics unit position requiring 2 years of experience and a TX or compact RN license.

Details

• 15-bed Neuro/Ortho Med/Surg unit
• Night shift schedule from 18:45 to 07:15
• 13-week assignment
• Epic charting system used

Requirements

• Active TX or compact RN license required
• BLS certification required (AHA)
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Nursys verification required within 30 days prior to start
• Current license and primary source verification required within 30 days prior to start

Additional Information

• Provides direct nursing care following established policies, procedures, and protocols
• Implements and monitors patient care plans while coordinating care across disciplines
• Carries out physician and nursing orders and communicates patient condition as needed
• Assesses and coordinates discharge planning needs with the healthcare team
• Requires critical thinking, sound judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision in a stressful environment
• Navy or maroon scrubs required
• Subject to a radius rule that may affect pay rate for local candidates
