Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position at a Level IV Maternal Designation academic facility with a high-volume, high-risk delivery service requiring a minimum of 2 years of L&D experience and a TX or compact RN license.

- Labor & Delivery unit at a Level IV Maternal Designation academic teaching facility
- Unit includes 26 LDR suites (with low intervention rooms), 6 C-section suites, 14 triage rooms, 60 Mother-Baby Couplet rooms, and 16 monitored antepartum beds
- High-risk, fast-paced environment with 500+ deliveries per month
- 24-hour in-house attending OB, anesthesia, and NICU coverage
- Perinatal Transport Program in place
- Serves both academic teaching and large private OB practice populations
- Day shift: 6:45 AM – 7:15 PM
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Active TX RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
- Current certifications required: BLS (AHA or ARC), ACLS (AHA or ARC), and NRP (AAP)
- Intermediate Fetal Monitoring Certification required
- Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery or Perinatal experience in a high-volume delivery service required
- ASN from an accredited nursing school/college required
- Must possess a valid US Social Security Number and a US home address
- Driver's License required for consideration
- Two professional references required for consideration
Additional Information
- 3–5 years of Perinatal clinical experience in a high-volume setting is preferred
- Preferred certifications: S.T.A.B.L.E Program and Advanced Fetal Monitoring
- BSN preferred
- BLS and ACLS must be from the American Heart Association (AHA)
