Description
American Traveler is seeking a travel RN for a Med/Surg (Acute Care) night shift position requiring at least 1 year of RN experience and a prior travel assignment.
Details
- Acute care Med/Surg unit in a hospital setting
- 44-bed unit with a nursing staff of approximately 40
- Patient ratio of 1:5, with potential for 1:6
- CNA support available, typically at a 1:8–1:10 ratio
- Telemetry is available on the unit, though monitoring is handled by a separate unit
- 12-hour night shifts, 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM
- Every other weekend requirement
- Holiday coverage required as needed
- Floating required to all acute care, cardiology (for medical patients), and the EC for acute care patient holds
- MEDITECH EMR used; experience preferred but not required
- 26-week contract
Requirements
- Active GA or Compact RN license required
- Current BLS and NIHSS certifications required — both must be AHA-issued
- Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
- At least 1 prior travel assignment required
- Driver's license required for consideration
- Must reside more than 75 miles from the facility (based on address on Driver's License) to be eligible for this position
Additional Information
- Orientation is approximately 1 week, including EMR training, followed by 2 days of floor-specific orientation
- Caribbean blue scrubs required
- Candidates employed by this facility within the last 12 months are not eligible
- Any time-off requests must be submitted and approved at the start of the assignment
- A Driver's License copy is required for consideration
