Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced travel RN for an ED Boarder Program position requiring an active MA RN license and at least 1 year of travel nursing experience.

• Hospital-based ED Boarder Program unit, caring for patients in hallway spaces as well as traditional bays
• Fast-paced, high-activity environment with significantly higher turnover and acuity than a traditional inpatient unit
• Nurses navigate multiple care areas to retrieve patients, medications, and supplies
• 36-hour work week on a day/night rotating shift schedule
• Every other weekend required
• Every other holiday required
• Charting performed in Epic EMR
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active MA RN license required — no pending or conditional licenses accepted
• BLS certification required (AHA only)
• Minimum 1 year of travel nursing experience required
• 2 professional references required for consideration
• Flu vaccine required with no religious or medical exemptions accepted

Additional Information

• This unit operates differently from a standard inpatient setting — nurses must be adaptable to a high-volume, constantly changing environment
• Timekeeping is managed through UKG/Kronos
• No validated parking available at Boston locations; public parking is available at candidate's expense, and public transportation is encouraged
• Local candidates residing within 60 miles of the facility are eligible but will be offered a reduced pay rate
• RTO requests must be submitted at the time of application
