Description
American Traveler is hiring a Cardiac Interventional Radiology Technologist for a Cath Lab position requiring 2+ years of experience and ARRT-R certification, with first-time travelers considered.
Details
- Work in Diagnostic Cardiac Cath Lab, Interventional Cardiac Cath Lab, and Electrophysiology (EP) Lab settings
- Day shift schedule of 3x12 hours (7:00 AM to 7:30 PM), with alternative 4x9-hour schedule considered
- Call required 1-2 nights per week and every 4th weekend
- Uses GE Innova IGS equipment
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience required, with Cardiac Cath experience preferred
- BLS, ACLS, and ARRT-R certifications required
- License required if applicable
- Familiarity with Electrophysiology, Vascular, or Interventional Radiology preferred
- Teaching hospital, community hospital, and Trauma Level II experience preferred
- Education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program
- Skilled in vascular closure systems (Perclose, StarClose), EKG lead placement, and sterile field maintenance
- Experience with diagnostic and left/right heart catheterizations, PCI, PTCA, and cardiac stent placement
- Experience with IABP and Impella insertion, PA line insertion, and hemodynamic monitoring preferred
- Experience with permanent pacemaker insertion and cardioversion preferred
- Experience with central venous access, PICC lines, and vascular studies including thrombolysis/thrombectomy preferred
- 2 professional references required, with at least 1 from a Manager/Director or Supervisor and the second from a Charge RN or leadership role (no coworker references)
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include accurate patient monitoring, equipment setup, room circulating, and recognition of life-threatening arrhythmias
- Perform procedures involving isolation precautions, infection control, and sterile technique
- First-time travelers considered with 2+ years of relevant Cath Lab experience
- Local candidates accepted at the same rate
- Former employees eligible for travel assignment after 6 months away from the facility
- Current employees are ineligible for travel positions at this facility
- RTO must be submitted and built into the contract, limited to 7 days or less
- Candidates must complete Ohio fingerprinting requirements promptly after signing contract, including travel to an Ohio fingerprinting location or completion of a mailed fingerprinting packet if located at a distance
