Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced OR RN for a 13-week travel contract requiring robotics experience, ortho/sports med background, and on-call availability across a multi-campus health system.
Details
- Hospital-based Operating Room setting with a 30% inpatient and 70% outpatient case mix, including approximately 10% pediatric cases
- Surgical specialties include orthopedics, general surgery, urology, gynecology, spine, ENT, total joints, neuro/spine, OB-GYN, plastics, robotics, trauma, and vascular
- Circulating and scrubbing responsibilities across multiple surgical service lines
- Day shift schedule: 4x10-hour shifts, 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM
- On-call shifts are 12 hours; weekday call runs 7 PM–7 AM, and weekend/holiday call runs either 7 PM–7 AM or 7 AM–7 PM
- On-call responsibilities are shared evenly among approximately 15 RNs
- Weekend coverage is for on-call support only
- Floating to other campuses within the state may be required
- EMR: Epic (required)
Requirements
- Active WA RN license or valid compact RN license
- Minimum 2 years of OR RN experience required
- Required certifications: BLS; ACLS preferred
- Robotics experience required
- Ortho/sports medicine experience required
- Scrub experience preferred
- ENT experience with endoscope strongly preferred
- Proficiency required in: procedural sedation, blood/blood products administration, drains, epidural pumps, PICC/central lines, Port-A-Cath/vascular device access and care, and wound vac
- Epic EMR experience required
- Minimum of 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting required for consideration
- Full SSN and DOB required for consideration
Additional Information
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Former permanent staff of Swedish/Providence facilities are not eligible to work as travelers at this time
- Travelers are expected to float between all facilities within the state; refusal to float may result in termination of the assignment
- Minimal RTO is strongly preferred for this position
- Candidates must disclose any prior work history at a Providence facility (permanent, travel, or per diem) including location and dates
