Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a 13-week ICU travel contract working nights in an acute care setting, with a 1:2 patient ratio and high-acuity step-down experience preferred.
Details
- Acute care hospital ICU setting with 6 private beds
- Unit functions as a high-acuity step-down/low-acuity ICU hybrid and currently serves as the facility's COVID unit
- Common patient diagnoses include sepsis, COPD, DKA, overdose, renal conditions, surgical cases, and respiratory issues
- Patient ratio is 1:2
- Charting is performed in TruBridge Evident (CPSI)
- Schedule is 3x12-hour night shifts (7pm–7am)
- Every other weekend is required
- Floating to the Tele/Med-Surg unit is expected
Requirements
- Active OH RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
- Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
- BSN is not required
Additional Information
- One shift of floor orientation will be provided
- An ECG exam must be completed on the first day
- Holiday shifts are generally not required for travelers, though this may vary based on scheduling and permanent staff availability
- Royal blue scrubs are required
- N95 respirators are in adequate supply and are replaced every 24 hours
