Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a 4-week LTC/SNF travel contract in Canton, SD, requiring at least 2 years of experience and an active SD or compact RN license.

Details

• Long-term care and skilled nursing facility (LTC/SNF) setting with 42 beds
• Patient population includes long-term care residents with a mix of memory care, dementia, and orthopedic diagnoses; no current behavioral risks
• Nurse-to-patient ratio is 2 nurses during days/evenings and 1 nurse during nights
• Charting is done in Point Click Care (PCC)
• 8-hour and 12-hour shifts available; primarily 6p–6:30a (evening and night)
• Every other weekend required
• Every other holiday required
• No on-call or call-back responsibilities

Requirements

• Active RN license — South Dakota (SD) or compact — must be active and in hand at time of consideration; pending licenses not accepted
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required; no exceptions
• Current BLS certification required; copies of active certifications required (pending certifications not accepted)
• Active SD or compact RN license must be verified via Nursys
• Driver's license required for consideration
• 2 professional references required: one supervisor from within the last 12 months and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years, both including dates of employment and eligibility for rehire

Additional Information

• Provides nursing care to LTC residents including those with memory care, dementia, and orthopedic needs
• Brief on-site orientation covering building layout and lift equipment (approximately 2–4 hours)
• Candidates residing within 80 miles of the facility are considered local and will be offered a different pay rate
• 4-week contract (approximately 36 hours per week)
